FIBRE SUPER 40

FIBRE SUPER 40 is a structural polymer fiber, produced from additivated polypropylene by a special process of extrusion, stretching and molecular stabilization. The special shape allows better anchorage to the cement base, without compromising its optimal distribution within the mixes during mixing, significantly reduces shrinkage cracking, improves durability and increases ultimate tensile and fatigue strength, as well as the ductility of the mix. It is suitable for the production of fiber-reinforced conglomerates in general, intended for industrial flooring and in the production of prefabricated products and in shotcrete.

FIBRE SUPER 40 if dosed directly in the plant's pre-mixer, should be added at the end of the loading of the various concrete components, while if dosed directly on the concrete mixer's loading belt, it should be added as the first component of the mix, followed by at least one third of the mixing water. After addition it is advisable to prolong mixing for at least 60" in the case of a forced mixer, or about ten minutes in the case of mixing in the truck mixer, so as to allow optimal and uniform dispersion of the fibers. FIBRE SUPER 40 does not prevent cracking resulting from poor sizing of the concrete mix; it also does not replace conventional methods of proportioning the mix.
